Note Book

had a good friend call me the night before her son had a birthday party to go to asking what I could whip up quick that would be nice for a 7 year old girl and the first thing to come to mind was a note book! So I got out some pretty paper, my Zutter Machine and some notebook paper and got right to work on this. I even added the bow so she would really even have to wrap it!

Coffee Queen set

I made this up a few months ago for a friend that needed a thank you card set for some one special. She said that her friend was a huge fan of coffee and would tell her class (she is a teacher) that she is the Queen and that in her kingdom these are the rules.....

so I came up with this set for her. There are 6 cards in all.

I was PUBLISHED!

this is the first time for me and I am oh so excited! that I just had to share! This is a great online magazine you just have to check out! I hope that this is just the start of many more man does this feel good!

Nessa's Birthday

ok so Nessa was having a "hula" party so I just had to use this great Dustin Pike image, along with my Cricut (PDDU) this is the 1st time I have done a card like this but you know how I love a challenge! I think that there will be many more to come!
This was here gift I used the DS to make sure I was cutting things the right size. then cart was Tinker bell (but I am sure you figured that one out right) I got the vinyl from a signs shop (thanks for the left overs man!) it is sort of see through so it glows through.

what I have been up to

Ok so I have had many cards that I have needed over the past few weeks and I want to share so I am going to post them here

I had to remove the card that I made for my sister in law cause it was Published!

This one was for Kathy's birthday the inside says "happy birthday to the reigning leader!"

This card was a special order for a wedding

This was for my brother in laws birthday, I think I was pretty nice since he turned forty and I did not make fun of him!


This was for my niece I cannot believe that she is 19! man that makes me feel old!



This was another spacial order. The card says "Twice the giggles twice the grins congratulations on your twins!"

a fun little pick me up

I made these 3 sets for 3 really sweet kids that had a bit of a rough time this last week. When they were done I filled them with peanut butter cup brownies and popcorn balls. they seemed real excited to get them

MSB Challenge

here is my card for the MSB challenge If you look really close you can see what she is working on! The great thing about a digi stamp you can change the size, and as you can see here I really took advantage of that !

Herd you were

This is a card I made for a dear friend after I missed her birthday ( I know I know what a horrid friend I am) The inside says " I bet all those other fools sent cards on time!"

Custom Order

this was a custom order that I did for a friend in VA so I did all of these in about a week this is a thank you card for a baseball themed birthday party, the inside says thanks for making my birthday a home run! These were pretty simple just stitched the round card (I made 6 of these)

This is a card for a wedding I using the wedding colors. The bride is a big fairy fan so I just had to use good old Tinker Bell

1st glass block!

Ok so what do you do when you for got that your daughter has a party to go to.... you make something (which I like to do anyways more personal and kids get way to many toys that just seem to not be fun that long!) So I have been wanting to make one of these and they had them on sale at Craft warehouse (love that place!) so I thought I have that new Tinker Bell cart that has been calling my name and what little girl (or big girl for that matter) does not love Tinker Bell? The filigree setting to the best (I think) for this cause the wings are just so darn pretty! I am including a daylight shot and a darned room so you can get the idea! I think this is an item that I am going to have to add to my Etsy shop! FYI will do custom ones as well! Please leave a comment I love to hear what you think or if you have any questions!

you know it never ceases to amaze me just how wonderful people can be. It is so hard to explain to someone that does not "live" in the paper crafting world just what is so special about living there. I think this is a prefect example of that and the kindness that is out there! the ever amazing and inspiring Regina Easter has this wonderful post on her blog that everyone should read! it really inspired me this morning and so I just had to post it here as well! Anniversary gift

I made this as a gift to myself and my husband we are celebrating 14 wonderful years of wedded bliss on July 1st and instead of another card this is what I did.

I got an old window from a friend that remolded their home (to the point of it almost being totally new) but they did use the original plans I believe the house was built in the 20s and so the wooden window has been around a while. I figure with everyone talking about being "green" this would be my way of doing just that, I would find a new use for this old window!

I figured what a better way then make it part of my decor

(I have a Americana/primitives/western thing going) I have another window that has panes that I made into a large picture frame and put all the "old west" photos that we have had taken over the years. I used the Cricut and DS to make my stencils then I used Windex to help place them on the glass (thanks to my hubby, who said that is what they do when putting decals on motorcycles) other wise let me tell you this would have been crazy hard! I know that I have seen where others use transfer tape and that might work too but hard to work with what i had on hand so Windex it was. I was going to etch the scrolls as well but I thought that it might need something to break it up so I just used the vinyl right on the glass (let me tell you the Windex really came in handy for these!) I knew what wall I wanted this to go on and since it is white I got some fabric and stapled it to the back side to help the letters show up better. My hubby loves when you turn the light on above this cause it leaves a Shadow of the letters and looks pretty cool. The hubby was a huge help when it came to hanging this as well, it is on our stairs and so it was not an easy job to hang it.

Commissioned Fathers Day cards

I really love how this one came out! you know when you have an idea and it just comes together (I love it when that happens) I do not know much about golf and have no golf stuff in my stash so, I called my good friend Kala to ask her she sent me some golf clip art. Then I guess I got the wheels rolling in her head cause she called me back with this prefect sentiment! after hearing what she had and looking at the clip art I thought who I can just make a round card! then the rest sort of fell into place!

I know, I know when I get an idea in my head it sort of sticks for a while. Along with the round cards I am hung up on this one as well. I am also so in love with these

Dustin Pike images when my friend asked me to make a "handy man" card I knew just where to go! I love that you can just go online and get these no running around and within minutes you can be making your card! I used the pencils and the odorless mineral spirits. Also these great "eyelets" that look like screws they really have some weight to them as well really neat I need to start looking for some more getting low!

Tinker Bell Birthday card

I made this card for my daughter to take to a party on Saturday I have been waiting to have a good reason to use my 2 new carts and this was it!
I used design studio to weld the card together the cupcake is from Home Decor and is 5 1/2 by 5 with Tinker Bell sitting on top (she is 5 1/2 by 8) and I used a Square from Plantin School books I then layered the cupcake with some "chip board" to help make it stand up (cutting it in blackout like the base) I then layered the colored parts after inking with antique linen, distress ink. I then layered the base of Tinker over the top of the blackout that I weld to the cupcake , layering up from there and using chalks to shade. added a little ribbon and a button with a J for the spacial little girl who this is for.
