Travel Scrapbook

This here is the 1st of many "travel" scrapbooks that I plan to make I made this one for my mother in law for her birthday she and her husband plan on taking a trip across the USA this summer I highlighted a few places they plan on stopping.

since we have moved to a few different state over the past 6 years or so I have several sets of plates from several states! I thought this was a good way to recycle them!
you always need a place to start! paper is Basic grey

they plan on staying in the back of their truck (they have a nice little bed made up in the back) in camp ground for most of the time and then doing the motel thing when they have to have a "real" bed
they plan on hitting several national parks so you know they are going to see some animals!

this should cover places like Dead Wood or Tombstone. I love this paper! and the sign is wood (Karen Foster I think) love my Cricut and my OA Cart! used the Cuttle Bug for the corners
Cricut again, with a nice little tag for extra pix or journal space
a little picture mat and on the right is a pocket for more pix or notes
simple page
here are 2 pockets for post cards, I told her to collect them and do her journaling on them then she will not have to try and remember everything at the end basic page says friends so if they meet some friends along the way or if they do make it all the way to New York to see her sisters she can put those pix here
and a final pocket for extras
PLEASE leave a comment I plan to make up some more of these to sell on my Etsy site and would love any feed back you all have!

Halloween Treat cans

Ok so I wanted to make something for my kids teachers for Halloween, since this is one of my favorite holidays! Also I think it is good to let the spacial people in your life know that you are thinking of them and who is more spacial than teachers!? So I made the mistake of asking my 4 year old what she thought we should do with this can. Well funny enough my daughter is scared of just about everything right now but she wanted to go with this scary grave yard theme. I started with a recycled can (mocha mix from Costco) I covered it with dark blue paper (CM) I then cut the grass (PDDU) and inked it (distressing ink pine needle) Then I cut the grave stones and the arch (PDDU) inked them (pine needle) then covered them with embossing powder (distressed black shoot) For the witch I colored a circle using colored pencils then odorless mineral spirits to blend, then stamped with Versa mark then black embossing powder. The trio of spooked is also a stamp that I embossed then cut out so that they would look like they were lurking in the back ground. The Spider is also a CB die I then covered with diamond glaze and added red bling for the eyes. He is hanging by a piece of thread.
I then cut the fence (PDDU) and inked it (vintage photo) I cut it to fit in between the grave stones. I cut the ghost's on the CB using ( CB and Quickcut dies) Then the pumpkins and the bats which were also CB. I then poked holes in the can and used some small gauge wire which I wound into a spring and used glue dots to attach to the can. Oh I almost forgot my cute little skulls which are also CB I used pop dot to put some of them on the head stones.

Even though I love the way the 1st can came out I figured that if I was going to get 2 more of these done I better try something with a little less detail!
I have some great Halloween papers so I figured I would use some of those. I also had my new MS drippy goo to put to some good use. I also had just revamped my daughters witch costume so I had some extra feathers from that.

This is the can I made for the great ladies that work in the office at my sons school. They are always so nice when me or my husband goes into the school. They are also the ones that have had to make sure that my son took his med's everyday after lunch.

This is the one that I made for my sons teacher she has been great with him this year and I know that he can be a bit of a challenge at times! He is in a 1st/2nd grade split so you know that she has her hand full!

All 3 of the cans had homemade popcorn balls and chocolate chip, coconut banana bread

Puppy love

This is a book I made for a friend who needed a gift for someone who took care of her pets this summer while she was on several camping trips. Since she has both puppies and kitty's I thought this would be great shaped album for her.

had to do a little christmas since I know a lot of people get their pets pictures during the holidays

The paper is Heidi Swapp (from Costco) then I just used what ever I had laying around that would go with it. If there is something that you want to know feel free to ask and I will try and tell you where I got it.

So excited about his one!

I have had this idea in my head for some time! I think that I saw something like this in one of the craft magazines but I can not be sure which one. I got these glasses at target in the $ spot and just knew what to do with them right off! Although it has taken me months to do it LOL!

The card is 6x6, with the box being just a tad bigger. I used the treading water punch on the side of the card. The box was made using CDS (I am so in love with right now!) the paper is from a Heidi Swapp stack I got at Costco (this paper is great get you some if you can!) I used some Prima's an old button, some beads, Skittles and fuzzy yarn this was a lot of fun to make! Oh and the inside is from the computer and then I used the threading water punch again. It is hard to tell from the pix but there is acetate inside the circle on the front If you have any questions feel free to ask! Thanks for looking

Witch Sign

Ok this came to me in several ways. I have seen signs like this and though they were cute. Then the great Regina Easter made her "the witch is in" card with the broom and boom the idea hit me! So I made this sign that I am going to post in my Etsy store (I have been so bad lately no new stuff) I also will have all the stuff with me when I go to River Fest next month.

The Broom is cut at 17 inches (got to love the expressions!) the words are OA then the stamps are Inkadinkado on the "OUT" side oh and darn it I am not sure what the others are I take them all out of the wrappers to store them I guess I need to write the name of them on there so that I know sorry. I used some Ribbon and stickles and jute lots of ink and some chip board for sturdiness!

Cowboy matel clock

Ok so I made this second clock that is a mantel clock with the same Stampin Up stamps with plans to take it to River Fest. Then a good friend came over and decided to buy it before I could even take pictures of it! So I took a few before she left;) I thought that I would still share it with you all cause I really liked how this came out. I have another clock like this one to do still and am not sure if I am going to go in the same direction or not, but i do know that I am going to do something with it before River Fest

Coaster board frame

Ok so I got these coaster board squares and thought that they might make a good frame.I figured that this would be great for those smaller pictures that we all have laying around, and when you get tried of one side you flip it over. What do you all think?

Cowboy clock

I got this clock at Micheal's for a steal but it was a little messed up so I cleaned it up changed the colors painted it and stamped it this is what I came up with let me know what you think. This will be one of my items for sale at the River fest. There will be more things to come since that is a big part of what I am going to be doing for the next few weeks.
