tomiannie rummage challenge

Ok so I took the challenge! I have been having a creative block lately so I thought what a better way to get out of my funk than to dig in the paper scraps for the paper that I will work with! I pulled out this bright pink dot paper. I hope that you can not tell but it was not even big enough to cover the card I wanted to use, so I used some ribbon to cover that up! So in keeping with the challenge I used stuff that is just laying around, I had this Lily that I needed to use up so I went with that, then I thought well I will look in the scraps for something to use with the other paper and found the lighter pink paper then ran it through the Cuttle bug. Used some Prima's and my paper tagger to add a little something to the bow. a little bling and a brad int eh center of the flowers and there you go! I need several birthday cards so this will be great!

Paytons B-day gift

Ok so getting ready for our trip to Idaho next week and I got one of my projects that I need to take with me. We get to go to a birthday party for a dear sweet little girl named Payton! and like and like another littler girl that I know her mom tells me that she love writing and all that goes with that! so this is what I came up with for a gift for her!

The note book is for M's just recovered, added "Payton's pages" @1 inch in MF. used some "skittles" from my great Cricut MB friend Thank you all so much for the great RACKS!!!!! then tons of ribbon

The can is just a Kirkland brand coffee can covered with mod podge and paper (same as the book) I also used MF this time @ 1 3/4 inches I used ribbon around the can top, bottom and middle and as the handle that I just drilled holes for and tired the ribbon in. I used blue stickles on the center of the flowers. I used 2 large Heidi Swapp crimson flowers with a few smaller primas in the center, with a brad through eh center to help keep it on.

The card is just a scrap of paper with another large flower this time folded in half with a chipboard tag more primas and skittles. I also added some rhinestones to the tag that I stamped with a studio G stamp form M's

My 1st BBTB contest!!!!!

Ok so this is a bit scary for me, my very 1st BBTB contest! I have seen alot of the challenges and thought I would love to just take part in one if they use a cart that I have. So there is finally a cut that I have and it is a contest rather than a challenge! So here goes.... Wish me luck!!!

I cut the & from PS @ 4 inches with the italic feature on then cut again @ 4 1/4 (since you can not Shadow when you use the features) I then used some chip board letters that I had and covered them in the same silver paper (sorry I do not remember who makes this paper) I then added some glossy accents. The hearts are some lace that I have had for years. To finish it off I added some "skittles" (my 1st project with "skittles") Thanks to Deb1730 from the message board trading me for the yellow that I had thanks Deb1730 you rock! The flower is silk with a button center (got a great bunch of old buttons from a friend of my MIL, some of them are as old as me I think ;) oh and the back ground paper is from DCWV pack . I have one more wedding card that I need to get done and I think I might do one like this one, I have seen these Mr. & Mrs cards for a while and really liked them!

Tea cup cards

Ok I saw this idea in the April/May 2007 Paper Crafts Mag and thought how cute is this... Then a friend asked me if I would make 2 thank you cards to give to people that have helped her out with the mother daughter tea her woman's group is putting on and I thought BINGO So I went online and printed out the pattern (man I love that they keep these things for so long!) and traced that pattern, the only thing I did different than the card int eh mag was I used their suggestion to make a tea bag and a pocket. I had some chipboard tags that looked the part so i covered them with the matching paper then I put cream colored mulberry paper over the top of that. I then took the string from a real tea bag and used a CM punch for the tag at the end of the string I think they came out pretty cute!

mom day cards

Ok the 1st one that I did was for my mother in law I used some lace which I inked and I really like how it came out!

I had some fun with the card that I made for my mom. I used some Cuttle kids dies that I picked up on clearance I like the way it came out although it looks to me like something a little boy might give his mom I think my mom will like it since she has all girls!

Where the magic happens!

Well I thought that I would share with you all where it is that I work, I am hoping one day to have my very own room but for now I have a corner of the dinning room but it is mine and since I have been having a creative block this week it is very clean and so the best time to take some pictures!

Inspired to share

Ok so I was over at BBTB and saw the challenge and just had to share.... I did this LO a while back but still love it Which is saying something since I am a perfectionist! and I am always trying to do better and better LO's I think part of why I still like this LO is cause this was some of the 1st Basic Grey paper that I bought and as anyone that has ever scraped with me will tell you I will share just about anything but that paper!) Also the picture that is on the tag of my son is one of my favs I love him in bright colors like this it is just so Ty! I really like the way the tittle turned out on this one and so when I saw that the challenge was to use this cut I had to share even though I did this so long ago!

Jim's Birthday card

Ok so I had the challenge of creating a Birthday card for my father in law, I am sure that you all know that it seems like more of a challenge to make cards for guys, and you want to make something that they will like and you just never know.... So I asked his girlfriend what she thought, and she suggested a motor home card since they are going to be taking a trip to New york at the end of the month. But since the Going places cart is still on the wish list rather than in inventory ;) I had to find something else. When I saw the covered wagon on the paper dolls cart I knew what I had to do. You see we live in Oregon and since my father in law came out west form New York many years ago it just seemed prefect! I used the "rub on" idea from the Cricut MB http://www.cricut.com/messageboard/tm.aspx?m=2034223 I also used my wonderful Design Studio

this is what I came up with

Sour patch kids

Ok so I have had this LO in mind for quite some time I have to say that I have a lot of fun scraping photos of my kids with Grandpa Jim he is so animated and you can tell that the kids have alot of fun when they are around him! These photos were taken when Grandpa Jim and Grandma Paula came to see us In Idaho after Sydney was born. Jim hate anything sour but being the good grandpa that he is was willing to let Ty feed him sour patch kids. Since we lost Grandma Paula to cancer last May it is always hard to scrap any pictures with her in them and not feel a little sad, but see what great pictures these were and how happy they all are it is a bit hard to be to sad! Just knowing that our lives were blessed by her, even if it was not long enough, is still better than never knowing her at all!
